I’m a native Angelino. Technically, born in Glendale, raised in Burbank with a few geographic moves to Studio City and Calabasas, I have never lived outside the county lines of Los Angeles.
I love change and spontaneity. I couldn’t become a creature of habit if I tried. I think that is why I love Los Angeles. It’s always making itself over, renewing itself and reimagining itself in a fabulous way.
I have three adult children, two Corgis, and a demanding cat. I live with my high-school sweetheart and work out of my house buying, refurbishing and selling vintage furniture online at Vintage Furniture Housewares Art Fashion & by QueenBVintageStudios and I write a blog documenting my various work at QueenBVintageStudios.com
I also have a lot of opinions regarding life, love, shoes and colors. I like photography, travel, Gucci purses, The Big Lebowski and coffee.
I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, complete with a central park and an quintessential county fair. While attending a liberal arts college in an even smaller town, I ventured to California during a January term. There, I met my handsome Angeleno who swept me off my feet. You might think we lived happily ever after in the sunshine, but no! We came back to Minneapolis where we raised four kids and lived contently for years. Ice bars in the winter and enjoying the gorgeous city lakes in the summer.
Our hearts were always in both cities, and all our vacations were back to Los Angeles.
Fast forward to last summer when we sold half of our earthly goods, packed up our neurotic cat , two kids , (the other two had already moved here) and moved to LA.
I love this city and feel like a wide-eyed kid rediscovering it again layer by layer.
When I’m not out treasure hunting with Teri, I cook and write about cooking at I Had a Delicious Time and @crazy4kale and run a small social media business under the shade of my prized lemon tree. You’d think my favorite movie would be one from the Coen brothers, being from Minnesota, but my sappy favorite movie is “Return to Me”, by mid westerner – Bonnie Hunt. I do enjoy a good White Russian though.
